
MOORHEAD (NewsDakota)- A pair of games on Saturday at the Jim Pettersen Fargo-Moorhead Invitational Tournament saw the Jamestown Eagles first fall to Tri City (MN) before snapping their eight game skid with a win over the Moorhead Blues

Nine runs in the second inning left no doubt as the team from Minnesota mercy ruled the Eagles. Jacob Jude tossed a two-hit shutout for Tri-City. The Eagles hits came from Edison Walters and Mason Joseph as starter Zach Geiser conceded thirteen runs (eleven earned) in 3 1/3 innings.
Jamestown 10 Moorhead Blues 6
The Eagles (7-16) scored the games’ first six runs and then responded when the lead was cut to 6-4 with four more in the seventh inning. Bennett Goehner homered for a second consecutive day as part of a thirteen hit attack for Jamestown. Ethan Oettle was 4-for-4 with four RBI in the win.
Jamestown is back in action in their final game of the Jim Pettersen Fargo-Moorhead Invitational Tournament on Sunday, facing Maple Plain.
