VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fireworks can be purchased in North Dakota now through July 5th.

Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson says everyone should exercise caution by setting off fireworks and making sure there’s adult supervision for children using fireworks.

He had a few more safety reminders after your fireworks have been set off at the end of the evening.

Magnuson said under the city ordinance, fireworks can be discharged July 1st through July 5th in Valley City.

Fireworks enthusiasts need to stop setting off fireworks by 11pm every evening except for July 4th when they can be discharged until 1am July 5th only.

Just a reminder that July 4th fireworks displays open to the public will be available in Sanborn, Fort Ransom, West Fargo, and Nome, North Dakota.
