storm-1

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Works crews have been working a lot of overtime picking up trees and tree limbs knocked down from last month’s storms.

Valley City Administrator Gwen Crawford is asking residents to exercise patience as city crews do the best they can to clean up the city.

Crawford said the city received an estimated $250-thousand dollars in damages to their infrastructure from the June 20th and 21st storms. She said, more than 550-thousand pounds of debris was brought to the city transfer station in the first nine days after the storms.

Tree debris can be dropped off at the city tree, leaf, and grass collection center just west of the Transfer Station southwest of Valley City 24/7.
