JAMESTOWN – An early lead didn’t stick for the Jamestown Eagles Sunday in an 8-5 loss to the Bonivital Black Sox in the Phil Brown Classic at Jack Brown Stadium.  The win was the second for the Black Sox in the weekend over the Eagles.

The Eagles stormed to a 5-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run double by Nolan Maulding and a three-run home run by Bennett Goehner.

Bonivital answered with consecutive four-run innings in the fifth and sixth.  Brandon Billington hit a go-ahead two run double in the sixth off Goehner.

Jamestown will host the Helena Senators in a doubleheader Tuesday at Jack Brown Stadium.
