
CARRINGTON (NewsDakota)- It was a long night for both Carrington and Kidder County, but both teams earned a win on a long night at Carrington City Park as the Wolves took game one 11-9 before Post 25 won game two 17-7 in six innings.
GAME ONE: Kidder County 11 Carrington 9
An early three-run homer by Kyle Johnson gave Post 25 a 4-2 lead, but it was a five-run fifth inning that proved decisive. Isaiah Oatis added two hits and two RBI for Carrington in the loss. Grady Larson was 4-for-4 for the Wolves with two RBI on four singles.
GAME TWO: Carrington 17 Kidder County 7 (6)
A season best fourteen hits came in bunches as Carrington (2-5) scored five in the third, nine in the fifth, and three more in the sixth. Max Whitman and Jacob Boeshans each had three RBI and Parker Bickett added a pair of his own in the win. Kidder County (7-12) got three hits from Connor Wolfer in defeat.
