
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Voters in the Valley City Public School District approved a $46 million referendum with more than 62 percent of the vote during a special election on June 10th.
The school district steering committee is now moving forward to build a new 3 through 12 school in Valley City.
Valley City Public Schools Superintendent Josh Johnson said the school district will have an appraisal done on Washington school and the district office and place those buildings for sale.
Johnson also talked about the timeline for the construction of the new school.
The official results of the June 10th special election are listed below following the June 23rd canvassing process.

Here are the official results from the VCPS School Referendum. 1158 or (62.73%) voted Yes and 688 or (37.3%) voting No. There were 1846 total ballots cast in the school referendum held June 10th.
