jamestown-eagles-2

FARGO (NewsDakota)- It’s been a rough stretch against good Fargo teams for the Jamestown Eagles, and it continued on Monday.

Early runs did in the Eagles in game one and the offense was stymied until late in game two as Post 400 swept Jamestown (9-1, 5-3) on Monday in AA Legion play.

Game One: Fargo Post 400 9 Jamestown 1

A six-run bottom of the first inning off Eagles starter Braxton Perkins took the drama out of the game.  Malachi Werremeyer had a triple and Gus Pankratz a double in the big inning.  Jamestown got two hits and a walk from Thomas Newman in the loss.

Game Two: Fargo Post 400 5 Jamestown 3

It was 5-0 until two out in the seventh inning of game two as Nolan Maulding rapped a two-run single to break up the shutout.  After Shane Martin allowed all five runs, Bennett Goehner tossed three shutout innings of relief with three strikeouts.

The Eagles (12-27-1) close out the regular season at Jack Brown Stadium on Thursday, hosting Dickinson in a doubleheader.
