VALLEY CITY, N.D. — The Valley City Post 60 Royals will begin their postseason run Thursday night as the top seed in the Class A West Regional Tournament. The Royals will face the Williston Oilers in the final game of the opening round at 7:30 p.m. on July 24 in Bismarck.

Valley City swept Williston in their regular season doubleheader, winning 9-1 and 5-1, and enter the tournament riding an 11-game winning streak. The Royals finished the regular season with just one loss in region play and boast one of the most balanced lineups and pitching staffs in the field.

The Class A West Regional Tournament will run from July 24–26, with the top four teams advancing to the Class A State Tournament in Casselton, scheduled for July 31–August 1.
