VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Spiritwood man is facing a felony Criminal Vehicular Injury charge following a rollover on Tuesday, July 22.

The Highway Patrol said a 2023 Dodge Ram was northbound on Barnes County Road 21 and the intersection of 43rd Street SE south of Valley City at approximately 12:02 AM. The driver a 62-year-old Spiritwood man failed to negotiate the curve, left the roadway and rolled.

The driver and passenger were seriously injured in the crash and transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, then Sanford Medical Center-Fargo.

The Highway Patrol said the driver was charged with criminal vehicular injury. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.

Other agencies assisting the patrol included the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Valley City Police Department, Barnes County Ambulance, Valley City Rural Fire Department and Kathryn Fire Department.
