FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Fargo Police say a man wanted for questioning in a south Fargo homicide shooting was arrested in Jamestown on Monday, August 4th.

Caundre Douglas was taken into custody after a short foot chase in northeast Jamestown Monday night.

Detectives have tied him to two additional shooting-related investigations in Fargo. One on July 6 and another on July 22. Douglas was arrested on two open warrants related to those shooting cases.

Police say evidence collected tied him to the murder of 20-year-old Elijah Hughes at a south Fargo apartment complex Sunday, August 3rd. That shooting took place at 2:26 a.m. in the 4700 block of 16th Ave. S.

Police are still searching for 20-year-old Tyrque Jones. He’s wanted in connection to the shooting death of 19-year-old Azeem Holmes in downtown Fargo. Two other people were hurt in that shooting that took place outside of District 64 Club around 1:56 a.m. Sunday. He’s considered armed and dangerous.

Police say the two shootings on Sunday in Fargo are connected and gang related.
