JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown police assisted other law enforcement agencies in making the arrest of an individual in northeast Jamestown following an incident there on Monday, August 4th.

Police Chief Scott Edinger said while law enforcement was attempting to serve a search warrant, one individual fled on foot. That individual was arrested a short time later. No injuries were reported during this incident. He said the police department was assisting the U.S. Marshall’s office during this call for service.

In other news, the Jamestown Police Department canceled their National Night Out event set for Tuesday, August 5th in McElroy Park due to impending weather conditions. The event will not be rescheduled.
