COOPERSTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol released the name of a man who was seriously hurt when the tractor-mower he was driving was hit by a semi on Thursday, August 7th on Highway 200 east of Cooperstown.

85-year-old John Nelson of Hope pulled onto the road and was backing into an approach when the semi struck the left side of the tractor. Nelson was thrown from the tractor and taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. His condition has not been released.

The semi driver was not hurt. The patrol and deputies from Steele and Traill Counties responded along with Sanford AirMed.
