VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com)  The Hi-Liner girls golf team is adjusting to a new region for competition.

Valley City is now a Class B golf team, as part of the school moving to Class B status for activities.

The Hi-Liners placed sixth in their first varsity meet, which was held in Ashley last week.  Kylie Van Bruggen shot 95 to lead Valley City and place ninth overall.

Valley City played Steele Monday, and Oakes Tuesday.  They will next compete at Linton Friday.  Valley City has been placed in Region 3 of Class B girls golf.

The season will continue through the end of September.  The Hi-Liners will host an individual state qualifying meet September 8th, and the team state qualifying meet September 15th, both at Bjornson Park Golf Course.
