VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakot.com) – Central Avenue will be the place to be on Thursday, August 14th, as Summer Nights on Central brings an evening of live music, great food, and fun activities for all ages. This free,
family-friendly event is a chance for the community to come together and enjoy the best of summer in downtown Valley City.
The evening kicks off with a Shopping Happy Hour from 4:00–6:00 PM where all are encouraged to stop into our local businesses both on Central and around town, followed by a Cornhole Tournament hosted by the Valley City Young Professionals Network at 5:00 PM.
Food vendors including Doodling Dixie’s, Reister Meats and Catering, Smoke Time BBQ, Ramsey’s Kitchen, Monkeyballs, and Posh Ice will open at 5:30 PM, serving up local favorites to keep you fueled for the night ahead. From 6:00–9:00 PM, enjoy live music from October Road. Families can also visit the petting zoo (6:00–8:00 PM), cheer on the Kids “Pony” Races (7:15 PM), snap a photo at a photo booth made possible by Thompson Hay and John Kohler, and enjoy fair games, inflatables, and more throughout the night.
And remember to mark your calendar for September 11th for Summer Vikes on Central, the final and biggest event of the season. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to have a booth to share goodies, offer sales and discounts, and welcome VCSU students and staff back to Valley City!
