MANDAN (NewsDakota)- After an unbeaten regular season in 2024, the Jamestown Bluejays soccer team got the new season started in grand fashion.
Evan Harty made seven saves and a goal in each half lifted the Jays (1-0-0, 1-0-0 WDA) to a 2-0 win over Mandan/St. Mary’s (0-1-0, 0-1-0 WDA) at the Starion Sports Complex on Friday night.
In the final minute of the first half, the curtain was raised for the season by a Peacemaker Tumukunde goal, unassisted. And seventeen minutes into the second half, Grady Eckart scored off a Miles Anderson assist for a 2-0 lead, which stood the rest of the way.
