JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and staff joined the Jamestown Parks and Recreation District and Jamestown Youth Baseball to celebrate the grand opening of
the new Gould Family Field at the Al Boelke Baseball Complex.
The event marked the completion of phase one in a multi-year, $4 million renovation that is transforming the longtime home of Jamestown baseball into a modern, accessible sports facility. The upgrades include two new fields with turf infields, updated concessions and restroom facilities, paved walkways and patios, and expanded parking.
Gould Family Field now serves as the primary site for Babe Ruth-level play, hosting tournaments and events that draw teams from across North Dakota and beyond.
The project was made possible through strong community support, including a $911,100 grant from the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department and contributions from local donors. While the first phase is now complete, fundraising continues for phases two and three, which will add additional fields, batting cages, and other amenities.
Congratulations to Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Jamestown Youth Baseball on creating a facility that will serve athletes, families, and visitors for decades to come.
