VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A motorcycle ignited into flames on Main Street in Valley City just before 2pm on Monday, August 18th.

A police officer was first on the scene and used a fire extinguisher to knock out the fire before members of the fire department were able to apply water on to the burning motorcycle.

Lt. Dana Rustebakke told NewsDakota.com that the driver of the motorcycle fled before officers arrived on the scene. He said anyone with information about the driver of the motorcycle or who was a witness at the scene should contact the Valley City police department.
