VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Sunday, August 17th the girl’s bathroom nearest the wrestling room in Valley City High School flooded.
Superintendent Josh Johnson said thanks Mrs. Alecia Killoran, VCHS Math Teacher, for noticing the water break and calling our Facility Director Jordyn Heck we were able to get the water turned off right away and contain the water to two classrooms on the lower level of the 1971 school. He said fortunately, the water didn’t reach the resource center (library) or go down the hallway to the HAC.
Johnson thanked staff members who helped us clean up the water and get fans blowing to dry out the carpets. He said we are hoping these classrooms and the connecting hallway will be ready for use on the first day of school on Tuesday. He said there may be a temporary closure of this area for the 7th grade Orientation Monday afternoon.
