VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The VCSU Viking football team has been predicted to finished sixth of seven teams in the east division of the Frontier Conference in their inaugural season of the league.

The Frontier Conference has two divisions for football.  Montana Tech finished a poll point ahead of Dickinson State for the top spot in the east division.

Rocky Mountain, Dakota State, and Mayville State were picked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, in the east.  The Vikings were picked ahead of Montana State-Northern.

Montana Western won the top spot in the western division, followed by Southern Oregon, College of Idaho, Carroll College of Montana, Eastern Oregon, Arizona Christian, and Simpson, CA.

The Vikings open their season at Dickinson State Thursday, August 28th.
