JAMESTOWN (NewsDakota)- For the Carrington Cross Country teams, Saturday’s Jamestown Orriginals Classic marked the beginning of a new season.

And the Cardinals started with a bang.

Cardinal boys runners Chayse Steadman, Kreed Kirkiby, and Henry Pavelko, who have not yet begun high school, all qualified for the state meet back in Jamestown with times under 6:35 in the 5K run.

The Carrington girls were paced by Macy Fiebiger, Grace Inglish, and Joie Helseth, who all finished in the top 21 amongst Class B runners.

Carrington will next be in action on Tuesday at Northwood.
