Archery Event at Valley City Trap Club

The Valley City Trap Club would like to thank all who attended our free archery range day on August 23, 2025. This event, Encouraging Tomorrow’s Hunters, was sponsored by VCTC, North Dakota Game and Fish, and Ducks Unlimited.  Today’s activity was geared as more of a recreational day than a competitive day for all skill levels. It was really satisfying to see parents and kids, as well as individuals, together on the course.

There was a 3D walking course and Stationary Youth Range, a raffle (won by Terry Gwilliams) and free goose hot dogs were supplied (or goose weinies as a good friend calls them.) Now before you turn your nose up, they’re tastier than you might think.

Attendees were from Valley City, Jamestown, Oakes, Fullerton, Oriska, and Fingal.  With this level of interest in archery, we’re hoping to make this an annual event. For more information, contact Todd Paintner (701-212-8979), Landon Hill (701-408-9469), or Lewis Legge (701-490-0729).
