EDGELEY (NewsDakota)- It was the final tuneup before state qualifying tournaments begin next week, and again the Cardinal girls golfers sharpened up in preparation.

The Carrington girls finished fifth as a team with a 413 at the Edgeley Invite at the Edgeley Country Club on Thursday.  The Cardinal seniors, Molly Hansen and Aubrey Neis, finished in ninth and twelfth place, respectively, with rounds of 90 and 94.

Carrington will compete in the Kulm Invite on Wednesday.  This is the first of two state qualifying tournament, with the other in Valley City.  To qualify for state, a player must shoot 15-over par or better in their round.
