VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The second annual Live Life at 110% Brady Larson Memorial Derby will be held Friday, September 5 & Saturday, September 6 in Valley City at the North Dakota Winter Show outdoor arena. It’s a family event you don’t wanna miss!

The demolition derby, held in honor of Brady Larson, a derby addict since the age of 15, tragically passed away in August 2023. His legacy lives on because of his sportsmanship, determination, one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and unwavering choice to live life at 110%. Born and raised in Valley City, Brady became interested in cars in elementary/middle school and started building paper demo cars down to every detail. When he turned 15 he got his drivers license and that same weekend competed in his first demo and won first place along with “Mad Dog”, an award given to the driver with the hardest, most aggressive hits. From there on, he became infatuated with the sport, traveling across the United States to compete, making many friends young and old along the way. To many, he was the hardest competitor out there.

The fun kicks off Friday, September 5 at 5:30pm and on Saturday, September 6 at 1:10pm. Bring the whole family! There will be a bouncy house obstacle course and candy toss for the kids along with a power wheels heat for the kids on Saturday! Multiple food stands, a beer garden, and a merchandise vendor will be on site throughout the weekend.

Free transportation to and from downtown Valley City and the North Dakota Winter Show will be provided for the concerts both nights by the Thundering Saints, Home of the Debbie Gabel Memorial Ride.

Friday evening September 5th we will welcome the band Booz-n-Tuna to the stage. Get ready to be blown away by the unadulterated, raw power of BOOZ ·N· TUNA! These rock rebels hail from the rugged heart of Bismarck, North Dakota, and they’re here to unleash a blistering storm of pure, unfiltered Rock & Roll. With a relentless love for music that runs through their veins, BOOZ ·N· TUNA draws inspiration from the legends of Rock & Roll and adds a gritty, bluesy edge that’ll send shivers down your spine.

And on Saturday evening September 6th, we’re bringing the nationally known, touring act Saliva to the stage at the Brady Larson Memorial Derby! Saliva’s career launched in 2001 with the release Every Six Seconds–a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva in-your-face, anthemic song writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back Into Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.”

i3G Media General Manager, Erin Tombarge says, “i3G Media is grateful to the Sheyenne Derby Association for the opportunity to partner with their event. An outdoor summer concert event has been something I have wanted to bring to Valley City for years, and last year we were provided with the opportunity to make that dream a reality. Between the Derby and the Concert, last year was a huge success and a fantastic way to honor the memory of Brady Larson. i3G Media, along with the Sheyenne Valley Derby Association, look forward to continuing to grow this event for years to come! We would also like to show our appreciation to the Thundering Saints for providing free transportation for concert goers again this year.”
