
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Jamestown Jimmie women’s soccer, in the program’s first game in NCAA Division II, fell 2-1 Sunday to Westminster College at Dumke Field.
Addie McCallister scored for the Griffins in the 34th minute for a 1-0 Westminster halftime lead.
Sophomore Abrianna Madill scored her first career goal to even the match for the Jimmies in the 54th minute, but Kara Dickey scored the winner for Westminster just over two minutes after that.
Jamestown was outshot by Westminster 22-5 and 5-3 on goal. In goal, Skylar Lind made three important second half saves to keep the match tight.
UJ will play Upper Iowa on Sunday, September 14 in Fayette, Iowa.
