VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Melissa Meyer, Direct Support Professional at Open Door Center in Valley City, has been selected by the North Dakota Association of Community Providers as a 2025 Direct Support Professional of the Year!  Mel is one of 12 Direct Support Professional’s selected state-wide.

Mel was nominated by her supervisor, Heather Muscha.  She has worked at Open Door Center for the past 5 years. Muscha said Mel exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding DSP through her dedication, professionalism, creativity, advocacy, and accomplishments. Muscha said we are honored to recognize the positive impact Melissa Meyer makes every day in the lives of those she supports.
