
CASS COUNTY, N.D. (CCSO) – Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on September 10th, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and additional first responder units were dispatched to a rural township road near Amenia (ND) for a head-on collision between two vehicles. The crash occurred on 27th St. SE, roughly 1 ½ miles east of State Highway 18.
On scene, deputies learned that one of the vehicles was driven by a 36-year-old female, who was pinned inside her vehicle. The Casselton Fire Department was able to extract her from the car. The second vehicle was operated by a 47-year-old male, who was also traveling with his 4-year-old child. The three individuals were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Heavy, dense fog was present in the area at the time of the crash, which is believed to have been a contributing factor. The incident remains under investigation with assistance from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. No citations have been issued at this time.
