JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A fire broke out at the demolition site of a University of Jamestown building just before 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11th.

Crews fought the fire for more than an hour. Two Jamestown firefighters injured their knees while battling the blaze. The building is the same one that was damaged back in January after a fire in the kitchen and cafeteria area of the Badal Nafus Center.

Officials with The University of Jamestown thanked first responders and staff members on the scene including the Jamestown fire and police departments, as well as EMS crews for their efforts. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
