
LAREDO, TX – Texas A&M International scored twice in the second half Friday to defeat Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Soccer 3-1 at Dustdevil Field.
Felipe Costa scored first for the second straight match for the Jimmies (1-2-0), tallying in the 24th minute.
Alejandro Vargas evened the match for TAMIU in the 35th minute.
Heiko Droemer gave the Dustdevils the lead in the 59th minute and Maximo Cabral clinched the match with a 78th-minute goal.
Valon Ismalli made seven saves in goal for Jamestown. A&M International outshot UJ 15-8 overall and 10-4 on target.
Jamestown will play Sul Ross State in Laredo on Sunday.
