DICKINSON – Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Golf, in their final event of the season, save for two individual state qualifiers, finished ninth Monday at the West Region event at Heart River Golf Course.
Jamestown shot 368. Mandan won its second consecutive region title.
Mylee Michel was best for the Blue Jays with 89, good enough to qualify individually for next week’s state tournament, but she already had qualified earlier this season. Braelyn Wiese shot 90 and also qualified for the state event.
Belle Sjostrom shot 92. Taylor Earnest had 97. Katelyn Monson fired 100 and Autumn Roberts shot 107.
Michel also made the all-WDA team, which is based on scoring average.
Michel and Wiese will compete in the NDHSAA Class A Girls State Golf Championship on September 29 and 30 at the Fargo Country Club.
