CARRINGTON (NewsDakota)- The Carrington girls volleyball team rolled to 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-22) win over the Harvey/Wells County Hornets on Thursday night inside the East Gym.
The Cards (11-1, 6-0) were paced by junior middle hitter Calleigh Hewitt with a team high 11 kills and added a pair of service aces. Sophomore Maara Kutz added 9 kills and also had a match high 5 stuff blocks. Aniston Hoornaert racked up 28 assists and also added 5 kills from the setter position. Sophie Spitzer would add 5 stuff blocks to aid the Cardinals defensive front.
Junior libero Journey Peltier had a solid match defensively as well leading the Cards with 22 digs and also went 10-10 serving with 1 ace. HWC (10-4, 3-4) was paced by junior Braylee Keller with a match high 13 kills and senior Rachel Neumiller added 9 kills.
