JAMESTOWN – Five different players scored goals and 12 different players scored points Friday as Jamestown Jimmies ACHA D1 Men’s Hockey continued its good start with a 5-0 blanking of Midland at Wilson Arena.

Jordan Baranesky scored for the second straight game for UJ (3-0-1), set up by Raymond Warrack at 15:20 of the first period for a 1-0 Jimmies lead after one.

Jamestown then put the game away with a four-goal third period.  Wyatt Johnson scored his first, assisted by Darius Makse, at 4:15.  Makse made the Jimmie lead 3-0 with a powerplay goal from Matthew McIntyre and Kaelan Shelton at 7:03.  Sully Ross scored at 9:09, helped by Guerin Apperley and Tyler Lindal.  James Hooten closed the scoring at 18:19 with assists from Brad Fortin and Griffin Bourassa.

The Jimmies were 1-for-5 on the power play while Midland was 0-for-4.  Jamestown had a 38-25 shot advantage.

Jamestown goalie Brandon Weare stopped all 25 Warriors’ shots for his 22nd career shutout.

The Jimmies will host Midland again Saturday night at 7:00 PM at Wilson Arena.
