
GRAND FORKS (NewsDakota)- In perhaps the most prestigious cross country event in the upper northwest, it’s all about competing against others. Like 2,322 others in this case.
In a meet that brings together athletes from Canada, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, Cardinal Cross Country took part in the Border Battle on Saturday in Grand Forks, and records were set.
For the Carrington boys, Chayse Steadman set a personal record with a 19:28.7 while Nehemiah Gacho set a personal record with a 22:36.7. Henry Pavelko notched his season best with a 21:20.4
The Carrington girls were paced by Macy Fiebiger, who posted a 21:55 while Kate Fiebiger ran a 31:16.
Carrington will wrap up the regular season on Saturday in Rugby.
