
BISMARCK – A solid Saturday resulted in great results for Jamestown Blue Jays Cross Country.
The Blue Jay girls finished in first place and the boys were second in the Skyhawk Invitational at the McDowell Dam Recreation Area.
Jamestown’s girls scored 26 points and had four runners in the top 10. Marcella Maus was seventh (21:47.31). Isabelle Maddock took eighth (21:50.59). Layna Hoffer ran ninth (21:57.45). Hattie Fitzgerald was 10th (21:59.12). Layla Becker, Clara Harms and Hadley Jackson were 12th through 14th.
The Blue Jay boys had 52 points, only two behind winner Century. Jayden Velek ran sixth in 18:13.44. Tristan Champagne also was in the top 10, running ninth in 18:35.35.
Dax Wick was 11th and Flynn Wiley took 13th.
The Blue Jays will host the Jamestown Elite Meet Friday at Parkhurst Recreation Area.
