JAMESTOWN – This time, Jamestown Jimmies ACHA D1 Women’s Hockey kept the game tight, but again, Midland prevailed.

Midland held off Jamestown Saturday at Wilson Arena 2-1.  The Jimmies have started 0-4-0-0, with all of those losses to Midland.

Darbi Poole scored for the Warriors (7-0-0-0) at 7:27 of the first period, with Victoria Campbell doubling the lead to 2-0 at 6:12 of the third.

Only 57 seconds later, Jayden Carels put the Jimmies within reach with her first goal, assisted by Bethany Wielgosh.

Madelynne Sylvestre made 36 saves in net for UJ, who was outshot by Midland 38-15.  Midland was 0-for-1 with the player advantage and Jamestown was 0-for-2.

The Jimmies will host McKendree University at Wilson Arena Thursday at 7:00 PM.
