parktober-2

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCPR) – Valley City Parks and Recreation is welcoming the season of sweaters, pumpkins, and crisp
morning air with its annual Parktober Festival, set for Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Park. Free and open to all.

The festival promises a full day of classic fall fun for all ages. Guests can enjoy a free-will donation soup lunch, with all proceeds supporting the Valley City Parks and Recreation Foundation, which helps ensure youth in the community have access to recreation regardless of financial barriers. Throughout the day, families can explore a lineup of seasonal activities, including inflatable games and a bounce house, lawn games, a mini pumpkin patch, corn pit, face painting, tractor cart rides, and beverages by Alley Beans to keep everyone warm and caffeinated. The action starts early with two featured events: the Halloween Costume Fun Run at 9:00 a.m., inviting runners and walkers alike to get active in their best spooky or silly attire,
followed by the Spooky Spike Showdown Sand Volleyball Tournament at 10:00 a.m.

Registration for both can be completed online at vcparks.com or by calling 701-845-3294.

This year’s festival is proudly sponsored by Sanford Health. For more information, visit vcparks.com or contact Valley City Parks and Recreation.
