
MOORHEAD, MN – For a time Friday, it appeared that Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Volleyball was close to its first NSIC win. Then, MSU Moorhead came back.
The Dragons stopped the Jimmies in a five-set win, 21-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-11, 25-11 at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
Addison Ertz, Corbyn Menz and Lily Bertsch had kills late in the first set helped the Jimmies (5-8, 0-6 NSIC) to the lead.
MSU Moorhead (19-5, 3-3) led 21-17 in the second set before Addison Brooke and Ava Mueller had kills and UJ took a 2-0 lead.
Moorhead then hit .301 with 36 kills over the last three sets.
Maci Martini had 16 kills and five aces for MSU Moorhead.
Mueller had 15 kills, three aces and three blocks for the Jimmies. Charlotte Lempka had nine kills. Lily Bertsch had 21 set assists and three aces. Momo Minamiya had 18 digs.
Jamestown will play at Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.
