JAMESTOWN – Carson Brown scored twice as Jamestown Jimmies ACHA D1 Men’s Hockey defeated 21st-ranked Arizona State Friday 5-2 at Wilson Arena.

Brown opened the scoring at 3:47 of the first period for the Jimmies (5-0-1), with Trey Stephenson doubling the UJ lead at 8:24.  Carter Newlin scored for Arizona State at 12:22 and UJ led 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Brown tallied again at 1:37 of the second period.  A power play goal by Matthew McIntyre at 7:02 of the third period made the Jimmies 4-1 leaders.

Austin Cameron answered on the power play for the Sun Devils with 4:03 to play before Brad Fortin scored into an empty net with 52 seconds left to seal the win for the Jimmies.

Jamestown will host Minot State on Friday, October 10 at Wilson Arena.
