
RUGBY (NewsDakota)- The postseason will begin next weekend for Carrington Cross Country, and if Saturday was any indication, they are more than ready for it.
Four Cardinal boys set personal records while five Carrington girls set season bests and one earned a personal record on Saturday at the 31st annual Rugby Booster Club race, the final meet before regionals.
The Cardinal boys were paced by Chayse Steadman, who ran a 19:22.58 for a personal record. He was followed by Henry Pavelko (20:39.81- PR), Kreed Kirkeby (20:48.15), Nehemiah Gacho (22:02.28- PR) and Howie Simonson (22:10:10- PR).
The Carrington girls were led by Macy Fiebiger’s 21:11.24, a season best. She was followed by Grace Inglish (22:21.07), Jaedyn Lura (22:31.64- SB), Joie Helseth (22:46.34- SB), Kahri Kollman (23:26.65- SB), Anna VanRay (23:30.41- PR) and Paige Fiebiger (24:29.42- SB)
Regionals are Saturday at 11am in Cooperstown.
