MOORHEAD, MN – A 70th-minute goal by Lilly Johnson was the difference Sunday as MSU Moorhead defeated Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Soccer 2-1 at Nemzek Soccer Field.

Skylar Lind made 12 saves in goal for the Jimmies (1-7-0, 1-5-0 NSIC) in a match featuring a lot of offense.  MSU Moorhead (3-5-1, 2-4-0) had 23 shots to Jamestown’s 14 and a 15-8 advantage on goal.

Brooklyn Broderick scored first for the Dragons in the ninth minute.

Bailey Fox equalized for the Jimmies with her first goal of the season in the 59th minute.  Nellie Brown had an assist.

Parents Weekend will begin on Friday when UJ hosts Southwest Minnesota State in a 2:30 PM match at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.
