JAMESTOWN – Good hitting generally leads to winning in volleyball, and the Jamestown Jimmies proved it on Friday.

The Jimmie women came from two sets to one down for a five-set victory over Bemidji State 25-10, 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9 at Harold Newman Arena.

Jamestown (7-8, 2-6 NSIC) hit .308 for the match, .314 in the fourth set win and .412 in the fifth set.

Addison Brooke had 14 kills (.583) for the Jimmies, six block assists and three digs.  Ava Mueller scored 13 kills (.297), two aces and one block assist.  Caroline Puetz had 10 kills (.476) and nine block assists.  Ava Bertsch had 29 set assists.  Mia Hinsz and Momo Minamaya each had 20 digs.  In total, Jamestown had 13 blocks.

Lily Riese scored 19 kills and eight digs for Bemidji State (5-11, 2-6).

Jamestown will try for a third straight win on Saturday, hosting 13th-ranked Minnesota Duluth at Harold Newman Arena at 2:00 PM.
