MANDAN – Caleb Nissen scored twice in 13 minutes in the first half Thursday as the Fargo South Bruins blanked Jamestown Blue Jays Boys Soccer 4-0 in the quarterfinal round of the NDHSAA State Championship at the Starion Sports Complex.

Nissen scored in the 15th and 28th minutes and Fargo South (11-3-2) took a 2-0 halftime lead.

Moussa Sanoh tallied the Bruins’ third in the 68th minute and Jamestown scored an own goal in the 72nd minute.

Evan Harty made two saves in goal for Jamestown (7-9-2), who had won in the quarterfinal round in their state tournament appearances in each of the last two seasons.

Jamestown will meet Minot in a consolation semifinal Friday afternoon at 2:15 PM.
