O’FALLON, IL – Jamestown Jimmies D1 Men’s Hockey picked up a second straight win over McKendree University Saturday, 3-1 at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.

Jacob Thomas, Kole Christensson and Carter Johnson scored for the Jimmies (7-1-0-0).

Jamestown had a huge 60-21 shot advantage.  Goalie Brandon Weare made 20 saves.

Thomas scored his first of the season on the power play at 15:10 of the first period, assisted by Brad Fortin and Alek Erichuk, and Jamestown led 1-0 through one period.

Christensson scored his first at 13:26 of the second, with Carson Brown and Sully Ross assisting.

Johnson’s fifth goal just 58 seconds later, assisted by Erichuk and Griffin Bourassa, led Jamestown to a 3-0 after 40 minutes.

Matias Alexandrov scored for McKendree at 11:16 of the third period.

UJ will host Concordia-Moorhead Friday at 7:00 PM at Wilson Arena.
