SIOUX CITY, IA – University of Jamestown Men’s Soccer held their ground for a good while on Saturday.  But Morningside finally broke through.

Four goals in just under 22 minutes in the second half gave Morningside a 4-0 win over the Jimmies at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

In the first half, Jamestown (2-9-0) had two good chances, with Kael Calder having a header blocked and Joseph Bird having a shot saved.  Goalkeeper Dawid Chrobot made two saves in the first 45 minutes and there was a goalless draw at halftime.

The game remained scoreless until Lucas De Souza scored for Morningside in the 65th minute.  Ramdane Sadmi scored five minutes later to double the Mustangs’ lead.  Javier Ruchelli then scored in the 80th and 86th minutes.

Chrobot finished with four saves.  Morningside had a 15-8 shot advantage and 9-3 on goal.
