Three Mueller kills helped Jamestown to a 19-13 lead in the first set, but UMary (5-14, 2-9) came back, using a kill by Dani Highum for a 23-22 lead.  After a Marauder attack error, Mya Foslien killed for the Jimmies, who had a set point at 24-23.  But Highum answered with a kill and back-to-back aces to give the Marauders the first set.

Schopp and Puetz had multiple blocks as the Jimmies grabbed the lead midway through the second set.  Schoop, Puetz and Menz had kills in a 5-0 UJ run to end the set.

There were 12 ties and four lead changes in an exciting third set, but Jamestown forced multiple UMary attack errors late in the set and Puetz killed for the deciding point.

Set four was dominated by Jamestown.  Ava Bertsch had back-to-back aces to make the Jimmies first to 20 for the fourth straight set.  Schopp’s 16th kill closed out the match.
