
JAMESTOWN – Sabrina Amezcua scored twice in a four-goal first half as Minot State toppled Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Soccer Sunday 5-0 at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.
Iliana Rivera began the scoring for the Beavers (5-5-3, 5-2-3 NSIC) in the third minute.
Amezcua tallied in the eighth and 24th minutes, followed by Edelin Ortega scoring in the 35th minute and Minot State led 4-0 at halftime.
Leah Salas hit the net for MSU in the 77th minute.
Jamestown (2-10-0, 2-8-0) was outshot 18-13 and by 8-3 on goal. Goalkeeper Skylar Lind made three saves.
UJ will next play Augustana on Friday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
