JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jays Cross Country ended their 2025 campaigns with a 15th place finish for the girls and 18th for the boys Saturday in the NDHSAA Class A Cross Country State Championships at Parkhurst Recreation Area.

Marcella Maus ran in 21:00, the best time for the Blue Jay girls, to finish 65th individually.

Wiliston won its second consecutive state title with six runners in the top 20. Ruby Ihmels became the first Century runner to win back-to-back girls individual championships.

Jamestown’s best boys runner was Tristan Champagne, 61st with a time of 17:48.98.

For the third straight year, Bismarck High won the boys’ state championship, marking the 22nd consecutive year that a WDA team has won the state championship. The Demons’ Owen Hintz won the individual title after finishing second in each of the last two years.
