HELENA, Mont.  –  A pair of athletes from Valley City State (N.D.) and an athlete from Providence (Mont.) were chosen to the eleventh edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Volleyball Players-of-the-Week honors, announced by the conference office Monday.

Attacker of the Week: Macy Fridgen, Valley City State (N.D.)

She extended her streak over the weekend to four straight matches with at least 11 kills for Valley City State (N.D.).  She hit a single-match career high of a career high of a career high .500 in VCSU’s sweep over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).

Fridgen averaged 3.88 kills per set as the Vikings split a pair of Frontier Conference matches.  She totaled 17 kills versus (RV) Carroll (Mont.) and 14 kills versus RMC.

This is Fridgen’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defender of the Week: JayCee Richter, Valley City State (N.D.)

Richter, a senior libero from Linton, N.D., was selected as the Defender of the Week.

She picked up her 1,959^th career dig which set the Valley City State’s (N.D.) school records in all-time digs in 3-0 victory over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  The old school record of 1,958 digs stood for 30 yards.

Richter finished the week by averaging 8.5 digs per set as the Vikings went 1-1 record.  She tallied 47 digs (9.4 digs per set) in 3-2 setback to (RV) Carroll (Mont.).  She followed up with 21 digs (7.0 digs per set) in VCSU’s sweep over RMC.

This is Richter’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
