VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A 51-year-old Valley City man was arrested earlier this month on charges of possession of certain materials prohibited after police found a video of a nude 11-year-old girl on his cell phone.

Gregory Alan Gibson was taken into custody following the execution of search warrants by Valley City Police on October 6.

Valley City Police received information that Gibson possessed a video on his cell phone containing an 11-year-old girl who was nude, according to court documents. Police applied for, and received, search warrants for Gibson and his residence to search electronic devices.

Gibson voluntarily handed over his cell phone and agreed to speak with officers after being read his Miranda rights.

Officers found the video of the girl in a hidden folder under the camera roll pictures on Gibson’s phone. Despite Gibson’s initial claim that it was a Snapchat video posted to the victim’s story, court documents say the video was “obviously not a Snapchat video”.

Gibson was arrested and is now charged with a felony count of possession of certain materials prohibited. He made his initial appearance in court on October 6 with a preliminary hearing set for November 4.
