
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council approved a resolution to work with the City Engineer, Prairie Engineering, to purchase and install a generator at the Jamestown Civic Center capable of powering the entire building during a power outage.
The resolution includes purchasing a 300KW Cat Diesel generator from Butler Machinery at a cost of $92,440 with a five year warranty. The total cost of project is anticipated to be about $300,000. The money will come from the Flex Fund Infrastructure Funds with additional funding from the Public Building Site Fund if needed according to the city of Jamestown.
