FOREST CITY, IA – Emily Novak won the 180-pound title and two other Jamestown Jimmie women’s wrestlers placed Saturday at the Waldorf University Open at Hanson Fieldhouse.
In winning a weight class title for the first time as a Jimmie, Novak was dominant. Her first four wins were technical falls by a combined score of 48-1. Novak pinned Alexa Karch of Iowa Central Community College in just 43 seconds in the 180-pound title match.
Ann Meiman was fourth at 145 pounds. Meiman won three times by pin, also winning by a decision and a technical fall.
Leah Willard had two pins while finishing fifth at 160 pounds.
UJ will face Sioux Falls and Minot State in a triangular at USF on Sunday, November 16.
